We already know that no one is perfect. But knowing that doesn’t keep us from doing things we might feel badly about later. Your mistakes & understanding to own them makes you unique. But when the same mistake is repeated often; that’s a sign of inconsistency in your character, which can later birth numerous bad habits & a peculiar tendency to become a systematic liar. Start from owning your mistakes one by one. I’ve found in times like that it’s best to come clean and own your mistake. People will be so much more forgiving and sympathetic when you are honest about it because they can relate. Even better, you will inspire them to do the same thing by showing them how honest and beautiful you can be without being perfect.
Stay strong. Tell on yourself today about something you feel badly about having done or said in the past. We should regret our mistakes and learn from them, but never carry them forward into the future with us.
Sometimes my white friends want to know to whom i am saying “RAM RAM” over phone instead of starting a conversation with a simple HELLO!! Today is the right day to answer this. This has something to do with my values, upbringing, religion, morals, childhood & my grandpa’s bedtime stories because my both parents were working. I am not a strong believer in religion the way people portray now a days. But i believe in your beliefs. I believe there’s GOD, a positive divine power guiding us from somewhere. If you are productive, truthful, consistent with what you do from a clean heart, kind or humble towards other human, all of these acts are filled with godly goodness. I am born Hindu, and i believe i am a practicing Hindu. My religion teaches there are multiple forms of GOD, and there are multiple pathways to heaven, so all religions must be treated with equal amounts of respect & acceptance.
Let’s get back to my answer. Before some thousands of years there used to be a King named “Lord Ram”, incarnation of god significant to Hinduism. Some circumstances forced him to stay away from his family & palace. He lived in forest for 14 years like a normal human leaving his royalty aside. During those 14 years, he fought some demons, saved his wife & kingdom after killing a 10 headed monster named Ravan. Those 10 heads represent lust, anger, delusion, greed, pride, envy, mind, intellect, will and the ego. Ravan is the example how certain negative traits can downsize good qualities & the world remembers him as a MONSTER today. Today is the date “LORD RAM” killed Ravan & “godess DURGA” killed mahishasur, this day symbolises victory of good over evil & we celebrate it as DUSSEHRA. HAPPY DUSSEHRA TO EVERYONE WHETHER YOU ARE CELEBRATING OR NOT.
After killing Ravan, Lord Ram returned back to rule his kingdom. Under his kingdom, there was no place for any criminal or derogatory behaviour. He established a standard for men to be truthful, faithful, kind, loyal & brave. Till the day he ruled, every human being enjoyed equal amounts of respect & happiness. So when a Hindu says “RAM RAM”, Ram is the goodness/god inside you/your soul. One Ram is for you & other one for me. The meaning behind it is; “WE ARE EXCHANGING EQUAL AMOUNTS OF RESPECT AS HUMANS WITH A HOPE TO SEE A WORLD LIKE LORD RAM’S KINGDOM WHERE EVERYONE IS HAPPY & TREATED EQUALLY”.
Get honest with people about who you are, what you want, and how you expect to be treated. Standards only scare off the people not meant for you.
Some people have a problem, they can’t digest respect & good vibes. Stay away from those, such people don’t deserve your LOVE or ATTENTION.
My bestfriend DEMI asked me yesterday “whether i will stop hanging out with her after i get a girlfriend/partner/wife or someone significant?”. I am answering this with few lines, so that she can bookmark & read it as many times she wants. I hide nothing from no one.
Here’s my answer: My blood’s origin goes back to an eastern state of India called ODISHA. Since childhood i was taught few things which are embedded in my mind now:
1. Study, learn, get qualified & make lots of money with that knowledge. Because society is either judgemental or materialistic which respects power of MONEY & KNOWLEDGE. 2. Live for love, respect, family, and LOVE+RESPECT towards family. That’s why we have huge families. 3. MONEY you made mustn’t be used to flex in front of others. Use it to keep your family happy. 4. Invest in gold & land, this is the big kicker. That’s the reason most Indian men crave to buy more than one property & Indian women are obsessed with 24 carat pure gold jewelleries.😂 That’s all.
So one day when i enter a stable relationship, the sole purpose is to start my own family someday soon or sooner. I know whom & what to prioritise. But remember one thing dumb bitch, i feel like i know you since my past life. You are not just my bestfriend, i consider you family. You will always have 24/7 access to my house, my lap, a piggyback ride to beach & access to me no matter it’s pouring/sunny/snowing. Don’t get emotional DEMI, we are not discussing anything about this post during facetime.
Keep the honest moments close to your heart. The ones that are the most human. When you laugh until your ribs ache with your friends, when you feel stars exploding inside of you from falling in love, when life breaks you open and those tears of transformation pour like a river from your soul. Life is really quite simple. We get to experience this planet for a brief while. We get to learn how to love ourselves and one another for the strange, messy, and magical creatures we are. What a gift it is to have a human life. If you look a little closer, there is always something to be grateful for. True gratitude isn’t ignoring the darkness. It’s participating with your whole heart in whatever moment life brings. It’s leaning into the unfolding process and having the courage to not need all of the answers.
LIVE for the MOMENTS you can’t PUT into WORDS. (Not my words).
(This paragraph got nothing to do with the post above. Whoever thinks something brewing between TAP & DEMI after seeing my snapchat stories, i am SORRY to disappoint you once again. Actually I was trying to teach her horseriding, but later i had to calm down the horse because DEMI scared him. She scared a canadian warmblood within 5 minutes. And i am afraid of her since the fall of Holy Polish empire. We are bestfriends, that’s all. SORRY MY ROYAL BITCH, YOU KNOW I HATE YOU.😋😘)
Be HONEST, that’s the easiest way to earn respect in a relationship/business or any kind of equation in this world. No one will deny that honesty is essential. In fact, it’s been important throughout all of human history to gain someone’s respect. You must first gain their trust by being honest. Why would you respect or trust someone who’s known to cheat lie or steal! Dishonesty is not a good look in any setting, whether it’s with the cashier at the grocery store or a longtime business partner.
If you want to earn respect, you must always be honest. Successful people know that if the foundation of a relationship either personal or professional spilt a trust, they will have solid ground to stand on. If that ground is cracked with lies or is crumbling due to deceit, the relationship is doomed.
Society always puts you through this idea of “You need to meet the expectations of your age group”. There are lots of people out there who judge others based on their age. These people tend to think that there are rigid milestones everyone needs to meet or that maturity level should match age appropriately. But the length of time you spent on earth doesn’t determine anything about your life.
There are no rules about where you should be, what you should have done or how you should be living. If you don’t own a house by 40, that’s okay. If you aren’t settled down by 30, that’s okay too. Your age doesn’t determine how to lead your life. But if you feel unsatisfied, you should be honest about why that is.
(This video got nothing to do with the post above. Just shared it because we all must stay away from such stupid conspiracy theories.)
Most people fail to walk their TRUTH, fail to be true to self and others at the same time. Being honest never comes easy, but it’s easier than any kind of lie/deceit or hiding something. This is what sets a truthful person apart from random crowd. TRUTHFUL OR A HONEST PERSON, i am talking about.
They own up to their mistakes. Honest people have all kinds of amazing traits, but obviously no one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes, but what sets honest people apart is their willingness to take responsibility and apologize when they mess up. You’ve probably encountered someone who’s bad at saying sorry. Instead of owning up to their mistakes they’ll make excuses or apologize that you experience negative feelings, not that they did something wrong. Honest people are different. Those with integrity seek the truth, even if the truth exposes them for doing something wrong. They will swallow their pride and their ego for the sake of an authentic and sincere apology. Telling the truth doesn’t come naturally. Defense mechanisms, like blame projection and deceit are much easier alternatives in the moment, but avoiding responsibility only creates more trouble.
Hopefully this will help you identify if you are someone honest or someone in your life is truly honest. It might also make you realize that perhaps you’re not as honest as you thought. Nevertheless we should all pursue truth, even when it seems daunting and difficult. The world needs more honesty. If you lie about who you are or about someone else, what actually happened or how you feel, you’ll only dig yourself deeper into a problem of your own creation. The choice is yours. Be honest or lie, what you choose will impact your life immensely.
