We yearn for connection, yet isolate ourselves.
We seek love, but fear loss.
We dream for someday, instead of trying for today.
We want change, but don’t want to change.
We over-consume, then wonder why there’s no space to create.
We love the ocean, yet buy plastic.
We advocate for education, then bury our students in loans.
We want health, but for a price.
We believe in equality, but struggle to bridge the gap of inequality.
We ask for better leaders, but don’t think to lead.
We wish for a better world, but not at the cost of comfort and convenience.

There’s a disconnect here. And it’s not any one persons fault. The world is made up of both beauty and brokenness. Most of the time, I believe we have our hearts in the right place. The problem is how overwhelming it all seems, but change is made up of small moments.

Change happens when we have been hurt, but choose not to act from our hurt.
Change happens when we see someone who seems upset, and ask how we can support them.
Change happens when we don’t pretend to have all the answers, but are willing to ask the uncomfortable questions.

The truth is, if we knew the whole story behind everyone’s actions, we would see why they are the way they are. And it doesn’t excuse it, but compassion is the birthplace of change.

People reveal a lot about their habits & personality even without knowing they are doing so. Let’s take example for “your eating habits”. In many cases behavior experts and psychologists agree that your eating habits can divulge a lot of information about your personality.

If you eat slowly, you’re more likely to be confident composed and in control. If you tend to shove with food in your mouth quickly, you’re more likely to be hot-headed & on the flip side, you’re probably also goal-oriented and ambitious. Adventurous eaters tend to be pushy or curious risk-takers. While picky eaters are known to be anxious or neurotic and pay attention to the finer details. If you like to keep your food separate, you’re probably cautious and stubborn. Shared it because i was taking a course on human psychology. Body language of a person talks a lot, no matter how smart or mature they are.

Being independent financially & emotionally is amazing. But nobody talks about why “Spending too much time alone” is not a good thing. Everyone needs some me time once in a while and taking time to yourself can increase your physical and emotional health. But too much time alone can be a bad thing. Even introverts need some level of daily social interaction to ward off feelings of isolation. Being cooped up inside every minute of every day can cause loneliness and depression to creep up.

Call a friend, video chat with the family member or just take a walk. If you can’t remember the last time you went outside or talk to someone you could be harming your mental health. Being selt sufficient is good but being self isolated isn’t a good human trait.

People who say “Love is more important than MONEY”, next month onwards try paying all your bills with a hug or kiss. I wanna know why this stupid phrase is so widely exaggerated!!

This post may seem completely senseless if you are vegan/vegetarian or some peta activist. Still watch this video if you can.

No matter how many cities I have switched for education & employment, only two things that excite me about a new place are it’s food & people. I am an affluent advocate of farmers market & butcher shops since forever. The main reason behind it is my focus on fresh greens & whole animals. Everybody knows I want to retire in my thirty, but nobody knows I have a huge urge to start organic farming before starting my family. I know everything about the pesticide/antibiotics injected vegetables/meats, I will hate myself to serve that to my next generation. Sometimes my friends find it disgusting when I cut whole chicken/fish/rabbit/duck/turkey in my kitchen, but that makes no sense to my eyes. I love my LIFE little more than normal crowd, food is the most important part of a healthy living. My take on food is; “NUTRITION FIRST, TASTE NEXT”, that’s the reason I eat almost half kilo of salad consisting of raw/semi boiled green vegetables & some roasted meat. I love my weekend cheat days though, can’t live without pizza & cheesecake.😋
