I’m in that chapter of my life where GOD is making me STRONGER, which makes me HAPPY.

(This video got nothing to do with the post above. But it’s my blog & it’s my opinion, i have to share what comes from my head or heart. The outcome with religious conversions is always something like this. Today i will not say “how a so-called religion of peace is becoming a major source of radicalism”, that topic some other day. RELIGION in general should teach you a way of living life peacefully, first it must make you a better HUMAN.)

True me.. Tap-823..

Sometimes my white friends want to know to whom i am saying “RAM RAM” over phone instead of starting a conversation with a simple HELLO!!
Today is the right day to answer this.
This has something to do with my values, upbringing, religion, morals, childhood & my grandpa’s bedtime stories because my both parents were working.
I am not a strong believer in religion the way people portray now a days. But i believe in your beliefs.
I believe there’s GOD, a positive divine power guiding us from somewhere.
If you are productive, truthful, consistent with what you do from a clean heart, kind or humble towards other human, all of these acts are filled with godly goodness.
I am born Hindu, and i believe i am a practicing Hindu.
My religion teaches there are multiple forms of GOD, and there are multiple pathways to heaven, so all religions must be treated with equal amounts of respect & acceptance.

Let’s get back to my answer.
Before some thousands of years there used to be a King named “Lord Ram”, incarnation of god significant to Hinduism. Some circumstances forced him to stay away from his family & palace. He lived in forest for 14 years like a normal human leaving his royalty aside. During those 14 years, he fought some demons, saved his wife & kingdom after killing a 10 headed monster named Ravan. Those 10 heads represent lust, anger, delusion, greed, pride, envy, mind, intellect, will and the ego. Ravan is the example how certain negative traits can downsize good qualities & the world remembers him as a MONSTER today. Today is the date “LORD RAM” killed Ravan & “godess DURGA” killed mahishasur, this day symbolises victory of good over evil & we celebrate it as DUSSEHRA.
HAPPY DUSSEHRA TO EVERYONE WHETHER YOU ARE CELEBRATING OR NOT.

After killing Ravan, Lord Ram returned back to rule his kingdom. Under his kingdom, there was no place for any criminal or derogatory behaviour. He established a standard for men to be truthful, faithful, kind, loyal & brave. Till the day he ruled, every human being enjoyed equal amounts of respect & happiness.
So when a Hindu says “RAM RAM”, Ram is the goodness/god inside you/your soul. One Ram is for you & other one for me.
The meaning behind it is;
“WE ARE EXCHANGING EQUAL AMOUNTS OF RESPECT AS HUMANS WITH A HOPE TO SEE A WORLD LIKE LORD RAM’S KINGDOM WHERE EVERYONE IS HAPPY & TREATED EQUALLY”.

Throughout life people will make you mad, disrespect you and treat you bad. Let God deal with the things they do, cause hate in your heart will consume you too.

Someone told me this about relationships which touched my heart;
“When it’s sent by God, it comes with confirmation.
But when it isn’t sent by God, it will come with inconsistency, hesitation, frustration, and confusion”.
I felt that for real.

The basic principle of every religion is “HAVE FAITH IN YOUR FAITH”.
People usually forget, it’s not a competition between which Religion/God is big!!
At the end we all are in search of PEACE.

Whatever happening in Israel/Gaza/Palestine, it’s another British colonialism era blunder which was left to blast almost 100 years back. Let’s not go with the political side of it, i am highly unqualified to comment on that.
In short, it’s a situation which could have been avoided & it should be avoided. When it’s a fight between a right wing/left wing/liberal or radical group against a sovereign state, the winner must be the sovereign state. That’s how we can move move stronger closer together towards a democratic human society. Whenever you are left to choose between ideas & ideology, choose ideas because there’s space to think & grow.

Israel is a sovereign democratic country & it must protect its territory and interest irrespective of who says what, international support or few foreign media dishing out. I know few people will question my opinion & few will straight point it towards Islamophobia. Sorry to say I DON’T EVEN UNDERSTAND TOO MUCH ABOUT MY OWN RELIGION, so i am not the right person to like or dislike any other’s religion or faith. Let’s say, I CAN’T CONNECT WITH THE IDEA OF DIFFERENT RELIGIONS HAVING DIFFERENT GODS. If there’s a GOD, there’s only one who’s looking forward to see some better HUMANS on this planet. If you believe your GOD is true, he doesn’t need you to protect him, he is way bigger stronger powerful compared to your love or any other person’s hate. Follow his words & work towards becoming a better Human with time instead of nurturing/supporting any radical ideology. Seeing people suffer hurts whether it’s Gaza or the Corona virus situation in India. Hope to see a better tomorrow & leave a better open friendly world for next generation.

Sunday story time.. 01.

Since my childhood i am that odd one out kinda person in my family. My family is a mixture of different values/culture/faith/religion. And i always feel bored when someone talks about religion or God. It’s my middle school days i remember, one of my friends named Mohsin said “he is a true muslim, because he is praying 5 times a day & he is fasting during EID”. The same way another christinan friend said “he follows everything from easter, saint patrick’s day, thanksgiving, christmas to sunday mass because he is a believer in ONE TRUE CHURCH catholic values/teachings”. All such things were just foolish to my middle school brain. My middle school & high school days were all about playing chess, basketball, some video games, playing piano, little bit of painting, if i had too much free time i was teaching trigonometry & physics to few of my dumb friends. I never understood religion & God.

Let’s come to the main part of the story. My religion is Hindu. And both of my parents are full time employees & they are also bit too much into social service. So during my childhood i got plenty of time to spend with my grandparents.
Out of curiosity once i asked my grandpa;
“All my friends say something about their God or religion. Is there a process to be a true or good hindu?”
First he laughed at me for 2 minutes, then he replied;
“You become a good human, that’s good hindu”.
I again asked;
“Which specific God to pray & what’s the prayer i have to chant?”
He again laughed at me, then replied;
“There are literally 33 million Gods in our religion, even i am confused. Right now finish your homework & studies, eat all vegetables without being a pain to your mama, don’t watch TV for long time, sleep before 9pm, wake up early in the morning, these are all your duties/work at this age, after few years your work will become your identity. And your work is your best worship to your God.”
That’s all i was taught about religion. My grandpa died at the age of 97+. I still remember every single moment i spent around him.

Some friends question why i attend church service sometimes even though i am not a Christian!! The answer is; There was a church on my way to school. Father of that church used to give free teacakes to every kid after morning prayer. Sometimes i used to eat that teacake while going to school, and sometimes i used to give it to any homeless or disabled person near my street.
These tiny memories are still alive in me. I work & i make little more money than i can consume even after my share of savings+investment, i try to give it back to the society from where i earned. That’s why sometimes it’s a visit to any orphanage, community shelter/home & sometimes also it’s a sunday service. It’s not like I don’t believe in God, it’s more like “I DON’T BELIEVE IN DIFFERENT RELIGIONS HAVE DIFFERENT GODS”. If there’s a GOD, there’s only one.

The gist of the story is; Do something good everyday or just do your work/duty in time, rest assured your GOD loves you.
