Pay more attention to what stirs your heart. Pay attention to the music that makes you want to cry, or dance, or jump right out of your skin. Pay attention to what makes you happy truly happy, the kind of happy that drips from your bones, the kind of happy that gives you hope, and makes you believe that you have a reason to be here. Pay attention to the things that make you laugh, the things that make you smile. Really focus on figuring out what compels you. Really focus on discovering the aspects of the world that interest you and challenge you and make you want to learn and grow.
You have to pay attention, To the things that make you believe in being alive. To the people that support you and build you up and make you feel like you’re understood in a world that can sometimes feel like a haunted and hurtful place. You have to pay attention to the life you want to create for yourself. Because you are in charge of your own happiness. You are in charge of who you become. So, if something makes your soul feel like it is finally home, pay attention to it. Whether it is a job, or an idea, or a goal, or a person, or a place, just follow what makes you feel alive. Just make your life your own.
We always hear “Slow and steady wins the race”, and though I love this idea. I actually love the idea of slowing down to savor the little moments in life even more. Living in our fast-paced world today, it’s easy to get into a busy routine and sometimes we literally don’t have time to catch our breath. Not only is this not healthy for our bodies and our stress levels, but it takes the joy out of whatever we’re doing.
I’ve found that time goes quickly, and if I don’t stop and slow down, I miss the little moments. So whatever place you’re rushing to or goal you are rushing to get, remember to enjoy the process too, otherwise what’s the point?
When you start to get wrapped up in your busy life, pause, take ten deep breaths, and try meditating or doing something that calms you down. STAY STRONG & STAY CONSISTENT WITH THE WAY YOU ARE. (Not my words).
When your body is too tired to carry on, when your soul feels weary from the journey, when your mind feels exhausted!!
Take control and ask yourself the question: WHAT DO YOU WANT?
Then, answer it. DOUBTING YOURSELF IS NORMAL. LETTING IT STOP YOU IS A CHOICE. And, every time, when the fulfillment of your answer outweighs the uncomfortableness that you are feeling in the moment, CARRY ON. DON’T QUIT. KEEP MARCHING TOWARDS YOUR GOAL.
TOMORROW IS A DIRECT RESULT OF WHAT YOU CHOOSE TO DO TODAY. (Not my words).
We’ve been infected with this idea that LOVE is an emotion only felt between two people. But love is universal. It’s an energy, a contagious force, a beautiful gift.
To offer money to a homeless man is to love. To smile at a stranger is love. To be grateful, to be hopeful, to be consistent, to be faithful, to be truthful, to be considerate, to be brave, to be forgiving, to be proud of yourself, is also to LOVE.
First have a lust towards a beautiful life. I am talking about your OWN LIFE. Never obsess about chasing love. Chase goals. Chase dreams. Chase the behaviors that are going to make you better.
You don’t chase love; you allow that to find you by accident, and when it finds you on accident, you’ll know that is was supposed to find you PURPOSEFULLY.
(This paragraph got nothing to do with the post above. It’s my movie review for FREEGUY. Watched in ODEON IMAX, the movie & experience both were amazing. One of the best movie theater i visited so far. Friends said, it’s a great one time watch, but i will definitely watch it again. Don’t miss it. My friends also suggested it’s even better in 4DX 3D. The only part i didn’t like was my bestie DEMI ate 4 chocolate cupcakes, a litre of cold drinks & a whole large tub of popcorn like a hungry pig. I must agree, most girls who look good are some kinda sorcerers. It’s impossible to look fly while eating that much amount of garbage.)
There is someone out there in the world that doesn’t have to be forced to fit into your puzzle called LIFE. Do not take the risk of settling for someone if you’re uncertain of your feelings just because you want some kind of companionship. There is someone out there who is meant for you. Leave the door open for them to come in. Until then: Focus on you.
Focus on pursuing your goals and give yourself the opportunity to make your dreams come true without being distracted by detours. Surround yourself with family, loyal loved ones and successful people, that way you’ll learn how to succeed from them. Learn to better yourself everyday by taking what they teach you and teaching what they taught you. Be patient and keep yourself busy. Allow love to catch up to you, but on its own time.
No one knows what you need to do more than you do. Cry when you need to. It’s relieving. Laugh when you need to. It’s healing. Sit alone when you need to. It’s necessary. Surround yourself with strangers when you need to. It’s eye-opening. Living by your needs is not easy. No one said it was.
But a fact that you should always remember is this: “you are more worthy of being taken care of than anyone around you”. And I don’t mean the superficial kind of care. I mean the care that your soul needs. Everyone around you is struggling somehow. Everyone around you is trying to reach a goal, a destination, or a dream. Just as you might not expose your worries to the world, no one else has to.
Remember that you are a work in progress. You are not perfect. You are not expected to be perfect. Do not allow the fear of falling to stop you from jumping. Do not allow the fear of responsibility to stop you from committing. Do not allow the fear of exposure to stop you from shining. FOLLOW WHAT YOU FEEL & FEED YOUR SOUL.
